I have learned so much this year as I’m sure everyone has with the way 2020 has turned out, but I’ve also learned a lot about being a mom and I wanted to show you what I’ve learned while showcasing my top articles from this year at Millenni-Mom.
We had to make big decisions this year financially, physically, mentally, and emotionally. I think these things will help you cope with some of these issues or at least not feel so alone.
1.Mom’s Are Amazing
We are resilient in every sense of the word. We have had to make decisions on schooling, our child’s health, and how to financially support our kids through lay offs and furloughs.
We are strong and there is no right decision. You just have to do what’s best for you and your family at the time.
2. Mom’s Have to Save Money
My top article this year was 5 Expensive Newborn Essentials that aren’t worth the price.
It not only did well on my site but also on my Youtube page. Which tells me we are all about saving a buck.
We have to be ready for anything so put some money back this year and store up a fund in case the unexpected happens, again!
3. Mom’s Like to Have a Good Time Even While Pregnant
My second most viewed article is How to Still Have Hot Sex While Pregnant. Shocker?
Yes, moms want to know how to keep it hot in the bedroom even while they are cultivating a bun in the oven and there is nothing wrong with that!
We all want to stay in good spirits and this article will definitely get you there.
4. Mom’s Have so Much Love to Give
The third most viewed article is Fertility: Expectations vs Reality.
Many woman are struggling to get pregnant or dealing with loss of a child.
It is important to appreciate the family you have and enjoy them because you never know how much time you have with them.
5. Mom’s Are Still Breastfeeding
I heard that breastfeeding is starting to fade out as formula feeding is starting to take stage with the millennial population but that just doesn’t seem to be the case.
Breast Feeding: Expectation vs. Reality is one of the top 5 articles on the site and moms want to know more about breast feeding while also learning while reminiscing on their breast feeding woes. This article is perfect for new breast feeders.
6. Mom’s Are Awesome at Managing Their Time
This is no surprise. Many children are doing online learning and moms are working from home which has caused major adjustment in the house.
Mom’s have to understand exactly how to manage their time with their new found schedule. That is where I come in.
My Article, How to Manage Your Time as a Working Mom is absolutely amazing for helping you organize your life and get your schedule back on track.
7. Mom’s Still Want to Celebrate the Good Times
My holiday posts did really well this year probably because people were stuck at home and wanted to bring some joy inside.
We are givers and nurturers. What to get Mom or Dad for Christmas was a big hit!
We all want to know what we can get to make someone feel special other than ourselves ;).
8. Mom’s are Socially Conscious
The discrimination that moved to the forefront this year really hit home for me so I wrote How to Talk to Your Children About Race.
It quickly became a hit and reached the top ten articles on the site for this year. It is really reassuring to know that mothers care about the future of their kids and their world.
They are determined to be educated on the issues and take initiative.
9. Mom’s Don’t Take Anything for Granted
Now that moms have to be teachers they are starting to be a lot more appreciative of the village that helps raise their child.
This year I had to get a lot of help from my family with child care from my son and I have never been more appreciative of the help I have received during this hard time.
10. Mom’s Can Do Anything!
We are nothing short of brilliant.
2020 tried very hard to bring us down, but we cannot be moved! We will succeed.
We will go into 2021 stronger and smarter. We have proven we can make it through anything!
